We are going to be talking to you about air leaks. Having an air leak can be bad because you can waste money by turning up your heat. You may also have an air leak mostly at your front doors, in your window, or at your back doors. You can tell you have an air leak when there isn't enough heat in the house. You can use spray foam to seal air leaks and all kinds of leaks. These are ways to close air leaks that won't cost a lot of money. 1.You can use heat protected duct tape to seal cracks in your ducts. 2.If you have a window sill then use caulking around the window. 3.One way to lose heat is if you have a fire place. You can lose heat by the opening at the top and if and when you do you can get a latch to close it shut and tight. 4.If you have a door that has an air leak you can use any kind of big towel to put under the door. |
